SNAKEBYTE 4546
WHO WE ARE: Welcome to 4546 Snakebyte! We’re a robotics team at Vandegrift High School, part of the Viperbots organization. Since our start in 2012, we’ve had the opportunity to compete at the FTC World Championships twice.
This year, our team has eleven members—three of us are returning, and eight of us new to the team. We’re grateful to have Ms. Lewey and Ms. Meyers as our faculty mentors, guiding us along the way.
We work in four main areas: hardware, CAD, software, and marketing. We believe in flexibility, so team members often switch roles and collaborate on different tasks. This approach not only builds our skills but also helps us connect with one another.
Our leadership team consists of a project manager, an assistant project manager, and sub-team leads. We’re excited for what the 2024-2025 season has in store!
We are part of the Viperbots program at Vandegrift High School, which provides education and inspires STEM values through FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology). The Viperbots consist of ten FTC teams and one FRC team.
Our Mission for the 2024-2025 Season: This year, the Snakebyte Robotics Team is committed to fostering a passion for STEM within our community through education and outreach. We aim to inspire and empower the next generation of innovators by sharing our knowledge and experiences in robotics. As part of the FTC First Robotics program, we recognize the importance of sustainability in our industry. Therefore, we will explore and implement eco-friendly practices in our projects, striving to make our contributions to robotics and FIRST more sustainable. Together, we will connect, learn, and grow as a team while making a positive impact on our community and the environment.
